MNSFA SENDS CONDOLENCES

MNSFA Send our condolences to the entire Bachman Family, Staff and
Bachmans organization on the loss of Todd Bachman, CEO of Bachman Florist and Nurseries. The entire floral industry is sadden on the loss of one of our own. We wish Barbara Bachman,  a swift recovery and a safe passage home as soon as she is able.

Steve Roth of Neved’s Floral Died July 16th, 2008.

Steve the Son of Lu and Arnold Roth, worked at the shop since childhoood and eventually took over as owner. The Store was a staple icon on West 7th Street in St. Paul for the last 100 years. New 1/4% Metro Transit Tax

*** IMPORTANT — Effective July 1 2008 ***

Beginning July 1, 2008, five counties in the metropolitan area will add a one quarter of one percent sales and use tax to fund transit projects.

The five participating counties listed below will be referred to as the “transit tax area” are:

  • Anoka County
  • Dakota County
  • Hennepin County
  • Ramsey County
  • Washington County

The tax will be administered by the Minnesota Department of Revenue. Details can be found at the state.mn.us site (PDF, 76k).
