August 1st Deceptive Advertising Became Law

That’s right… all the work has become law.  Now comes the hard part. We need enforce it and MNSFA can help. Follow the steps below, get the all the information possible and submit to MNSFA. We will first send out a letter to the offender asking them to stop all activities.  If they continue we will have the ammunition to start a Class Action Lawsuit. 

Step 1.  Get information. Make a call to the number provided and in order to determine the companies location and pertaining information– ask the following questions.

  • Where are you located?
  • Can I come to pick up flowers at your store?
  • What is your local address?
  • May I come to your store to pick out flowers?
  • What is your local phone number?
  • What is your Companies Actual address?
  • What is your name…(first and last)
  • If  I have a complaint. What is the owners name?

2.  Document the conversation.

3.  Make every effort to get the ACTUAL address of the company.  Be nosy, think of a solicitor and how they extract information from us everyday. Perhaps even call as a solicitor to get the information.

Concerning a recent article in St Paul Pioneer Press Sunday, July 11, 2010; Coumsumers on budget are directed to the local Farmers Market for their Wedding Flowers. ” Customers pay about 20% of what the same flower arrangements cost at a florist” Said Scott Bairball of Market Flowers.

MNSFA sent a letter to editor and contacted SAF’s Negative publicty Department both sent responses.
